Dear Families,
This week we will begin our conferences. I have included the link if you would like to double check your time. I will have the students' ROCK binders at school for the conferences, and I will have them put their ROCK sheets in their homework folders.

If you are donating snacks, I will e-mail you later this week with more details.
Important Notes:

Money for Auction due March 23rd!
If you are interested in donating PACK store items, our next PACK store will be March 16th. The students mentioned that these items would be enjoyable in the pack store: bookmarks, puzzle books, slinkys, puzzles, sock monkeys, hext bugs, squinkies, and bade blades. :)

Newsletter Update
CSAP now called TCAP: We are beginning some practice to help students become familiar with the format of the test that they will be taking in March. Please watch for notes from your child’s teacher to help with providing snacks for the days of testing. We will begin testing on March 6th and finish testing on March 16th. Please don’t schedule dental or medical appointments during the testing time.
Reading – Next week we will be working on the 2nd week of Main Idea. Please remember to sign off and check your child’s ROCK homework each night.
Writing – This week the students wrote about a neighbor’s dog escaping and his adventures for a day to practice a narrative prompt. Next week we will switch to an expository prompt.
Math- The 4th Grade math classes are working on Unit #6, Division and angles. The 5th Grade math class is working on Unit 7. The 5th Grade math class will have the Unit #7 test next week. We are continuing with Stand Out Math computation. Please remind your child to practice math facts (addition, subtraction, multiplication and division).
Science/Social Studies- Students have two days a week working with the FOSS science curriculum.
