End of the Year

Dear Families,

Thank you for your ongoing support of your child and me, as their teacher, this year! I have felt so blessed to have worked with all of your children and families throughtout this year, and will truly miss you all next year! As I reflect on the past year, I am so proud of the growth each student has made academically and socially. Many times throughout the year, our group of students were given compliments by specials teachers, administrators and fellow fourth grade teachers. I could not be more proud of the students in our classroom! I hope you all enjoy the break and find time to reflect on your child's school year as well. Thank you again for all you do!

Newsletter Update

CSAP now called TCAP: We are beginning some practice to help students become familiar with the format of the test that they will be taking in March. Please watch for notes from your child’s teacher to help with providing snacks for the days of testing. We will begin testing on March 6th and finish testing on March 16th. Please don’t schedule dental or medical appointments during the testing time.

Reading – Next week we will be working on the 2nd week of Main Idea. Please remember to sign off and check your child’s ROCK homework each night.

Writing – This week the students wrote about a neighbor’s dog escaping and his adventures for a day to practice a narrative prompt. Next week we will switch to an expository prompt.
